BorderPulse (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is an independent mobile application that displays public US-Mexico border crossing wait times. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what choices you have.
We use Sentry to receive automatic crash reports and performance traces when the app misbehaves. These reports include the device model, operating system version, the app version, the screen the crash happened on, and a stack trace. They do not include your name, email, or any content you typed into the app.
We use PostHog to understand which features are used and how the app performs in aggregate. Events are tied to a randomly generated, app-local identifier - not to your Apple ID, phone number, or any personal account. The data we receive is statistical and not linked back to you.
The app fetches data from the following public services on your behalf when you use it. The app does not send your identity to these services; only the request itself (for example, the latitude and longitude of the crossing whose weather you are viewing).
These services may log standard request metadata (such as IP address) under their own privacy policies.
BorderPulse does not engage in tracking as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. We do not link our analytics data to data from other companies for advertising purposes, and we do not share device identifiers with data brokers.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
You can stop all data collection at any time by uninstalling the app. There is no account to delete because we do not maintain accounts. iOS-level controls (Settings > Privacy & Security) also apply.
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at the same URL.
